During the COVID-19 pandemic and 44-Day War, the AAMS procured critical medical equipment, medications, and supplies for Armenia, as well as providing education to country’s health practitioners.
From providing life-saving insulin to children in Armenia...
The AAMS instituted the Juvenile Diabetes Program in 1992 with the goal of providing life-saving insulin, necessary medical supplies, and disease education to Armenian children suffering from this devastating disease.
To offering free preventative care for underserved families in Los Angeles...
The AAMS established the Glendale Health Festival in 2010 to provide the uninsured or underinsured in our community with important preventive health services and education. To date, the Health Festival has served more than 10,000 community members.
The AAMS is making a tangible difference.
In 2021, AAMS partnered with the Armenian Educational Foundation to fund scholarships wounded soldiers from the 44-day war, supporting their medical, dental, and pharmacy education in Armenia. AAMS contributed $19,000 for 9 students, while members personally sponsored 16 more.
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us extend our reach and impact.
The AAMS joins forces with Alzheimer’s Care Armenia, in 2024 founded by AAMS member Dr. Jane Mahakian. The collaboration will raise awareness and develop programs for the care and treatment of people with Alzheimer’s disease in Armenia.
