Dr. Kalanderian is a board-certified psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She specializes in treating adults with various mental health conditions, including but not limited to clinical depression, treatment resistant depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, anxiety disorders such as OCD and generalized anxiety disorder, PTSD, and Schizophrenia.
Dr. Kalanderian is a California native and has spent part of her life in Beirut, Lebanon where she obtained her BS in Biology from the American University of Beirut and her MD from the Lebanese American University Medical School in collaboration with Harvard Medical International. After medical school, Dr. Kalanderian worked for the United Nations to improve public health policies and access to health care for refugees. She then began her psychiatry residency at the St. Louis University where she was awarded intern of the year and was elected as one of the chief residents. Her practice model is based on the biopsychosocial model, which aims to incorporate evidence-based treatments while also considering the unique characteristics such as genetic and medical history along with the psychological and environmental factors that can impact mental health. She is fluent in English, Armenian and Arabic.
