Dr. Tamrazian’s interest in Neurology started while he was an undergraduate studying Neuroscience at UCSB. He eventually continued with graduate work at Boston University School of Medicine with his thesis work in Parkinson’s disease. Afterwards, he worked at Harvard Medical School for a few years conducting gene therapy research in ALS. Shortly after, Dr. Tamrazian finished his medical degree at St. George’s University and finished a residency in Neurology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. His interests in Neurology are vast, including Stroke, MS, Epilepsy as well as Neuromuscular Conditions. In his free time, he enjoys martial arts, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family. In addition to his professional career, he has also been very active in Armenia related philanthropic and volunteering activities. He volunteered in Artsakh in 1998 as part of AYF youth corp and returned the following year to also volunteer. He has been involved in sending medical supplies to Armenia and Artsakh for many years. In addition, he collaborated with the BU/Armenia Partnership program in the past while a student at Boston University with various projects.
