The 12th Annual Glendale Health Festival Returns with Free Medical, Vision, and Dental Services

Glendale, California – The Armenian American Medical Society (AAMS), in partnership with Healing California and the Los Feliz and Northwest Glendale Lions Clubs, is set to host a clinic as part of the 12th Annual Glendale Health Festival (GHF) on November 4th, 2023. The festival will take place at the Pacific Community Center, located at 501 South Pacific Ave., Glendale, CA, 91204, and will offer a range of free medical, vision, and dental services to the community.

A Mission to Address Healthcare Disparities

The Glendale Health Festival was established in 2011 to address the lack of access to healthcare faced by the community’s uninsured and underinsured populations. To date, the festival has provided critical medical services to thousands of individuals. The festival is free and open to the public, and this year’s event promises to continue the mission of improving healthcare access for all members of the community.

Comprehensive Services Offered

The festival will bring together a team of healthcare experts, including primary care physicians, dentists, optometrists, cardiologists, surgeons, nurses, nutritionists, pharmacists, and more. These professionals will provide free vision, medical, and dental screenings, as well as treatments such as dental fillings and prescription eyeglasses made on-site.

The 12th Annual Glendale Health Festival will provide an array of free services, including:

  • Dental Services: Extractions, fillings, and cleanings
  • Vision Services: Eye exams, glaucoma testing, and eyeglasses made on-site (based on prescription)
  • Medical Services: Flu shots, COVID vaccines, glucose and cholesterol screening, blood pressure evaluation, cancer screenings, women’s health, medication management, mental health education, addiction awareness, nutrition education, hearing tests, medical consultations, onsite drug disposal, weight management education, bone density screenings, and more.

Screenings will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with clinic doors opening at 9 a.m. No identification is required, and the clinic is open to both children and adults.
