Dr. Lucy Hallajian is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California Irvine, and thereafter, obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of California San Francisco, where she was the recipient of the ADEA Preventive Dentistry Scholarship. She moved back to Southern California and obtained her certificate in pediatric dentistry at the University of Southern California. During her program, she spent a year at Children\’s Hospital Los Angeles specializing in the oral health care of medically compromised children. Her passion for teaching led her to become an associate professor at The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry and Attending Dentist at Children\’s Hospital Los Angeles where she presently trains residents and focuses on children with special health care needs. Dr. Hallajian is a published author, focusing on lasers as a tool for early caries detection. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She is currently in private practice in the Los Angeles area and on staff at Children\’s Hospital Los Angeles. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, gardening, and traveling.
