AAMS is thrilled to announce that the legendary Harout Pamboukjian will be gracing the stage at our 39th Anniversary Gala Celebration.
Mr. Harout Pamboukjian’s musical journey began in Armenia, where his passion for various instruments such as guitar, drums, saz, bouzouki, and piano was nurtured. His migration to the United States commenced in 1975, with a brief stopover in Lebanon for a year.
Upon his arrival in Los Angeles, Harout wasted no time, assembling a studio band and recording his debut album, “Oor Eyir Astvats” (Where Were You, God?), which poignantly addressed the Armenian Genocide. He swiftly rose to prominence as the go-to wedding singer in the city, capturing the hearts of many with his soulful voice.
Following the devastating 1988 Armenian earthquake, Harout’s concerts became a beacon of hope for hundreds of thousands, providing a temporary escape from the tragedy. His performances at the Hrazdan Stadium and Karen Demirchyan Complex drew massive crowds, offering solace and unity during a challenging time.
Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Pamboukjian has released over 39 albums, leaving an indelible mark on the Armenian music scene and beyond.
We are honored to have the legendary Harout Pamboukjian join us for our Gala Celebration, and we eagerly anticipate an unforgettable evening of music and celebration.
