After an extensive national search, Cedars-Sinai Medical Network appointed Alen Voskanian, MD, MBA, FAAHPM, to the position of vice president and chief operating officer of Cedars-Sinai Medical Network. Dr. Voskanian is a member of the AAMS and has participated in our CME/CDE programs as a lecturer.
In this new role, Dr. Voskanian will develop new and improved clinical services for patients, including ongoing process improvement and transformation in ambulatory patient care. He has been a key member of the Medical Network leadership team since he joined the organization in 2018 as medical director of Cedars-Sinai Medical Group (CSMG).
Under Dr. Voskanian's leadership, CSMG has implemented processes and practices that have improved all aspects of clinical and operational performance, including finance, quality, patient experience, efficiency, and the engagement of clinicians and staff.
Dr. Voskanian also recently published a book, "Reclaiming the Joy of Medicine – Finding Purpose, Fulfillment, and Happiness in Today's Medical Industry." The book explores burnout among healthcare professionals and offers remedies to fix the healthcare system and improve wellness.
