EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Professional practice gap: Armenia faces a number of healthcare challenges. The healthcare system in Armenia is growing rapidly, but still lags behind Western practice in a number of areas. This is in part due to the underdeveloped primary health care system in Armenia as well as a number of factors to be outlined during the Congress. At the same time, there are specialty areas in healthcare procedures and technology that could establish Armenia as a research and innovation hub for Eurasia.

Learning objectives: at the end of this activity, physicians will:

  • Identify key areas where Armenia has health system can be developed or improved.
  • Develop plans for networking and collaboration in developing Armenia’s healthcare
  • Review new medical treatment modalities relevant to Armenia’s healthcare development
