Dr. Tachdjian is a pediatrician, as well as a community health advocate. He received his medical degree from St. Joseph University School of Medicine and served his pediatrics residency at St. Therese Hospital, both in Beirut. He completed his pediatric fellowship at Kern County Medical Center and his child psychiatry fellowship at UCLA. Dr. Tachdjian served as medical director of the Community Health Foundation of Los Angeles, the second largest homeless care clinic in the country. He then joined Community Health Centers of the Central Coast of California, where he continues to treat patients, including the area’s underserved population. In addition, he serves as a consultant for Doctors Without Borders as an expert in refugee and homeless medicine. As former Treasurer and Vice-President, he has been an active member of the Armenian American Medical Society for more than 30 years.
