President Elizabeth Zoryan Shares AAMS Vision for 2026

Dear AAMS Members and Friends,

It is an honor and privilege to serve as President of the Armenian American Medical Society. As I step into this role, I am inspired by the strong foundation built over the past four decades and energized by the opportunities ahead to further strengthen our organization and expand our impact.

This year, we will focus on growing and enhancing AAMS’s core initiatives. A key priority will be advancing our Student Research and Mentorship Program, creating meaningful opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience, build strong academic portfolios, and receive guidance from established professionals. We will also continue to expand our Scholarship Program, both locally and in Armenia, ensuring that talented and dedicated students have the support they need to pursue careers in healthcare.

Equally important is our commitment to growing our membership and strengthening engagement across all levels of our community. By welcoming new members and increasing participation, we can amplify our collective impact and continue to build a vibrant, collaborative network of healthcare professionals. In parallel, we are embarking on an exciting initiative to document and preserve the rich history of AAMS through the creation of a commemorative history book, honoring the individuals and milestones that have shaped our organization.

As we look ahead, I warmly invite you to join us at the AAMS 41st Anniversary Gala on Saturday, March 21, 2026, an evening dedicated to celebrating excellence, community, and impact. This year, we are proud to honor Dr. Shakeh Kaftarian with the Lifetime Achievement Award and Dr. Vatche G. Agopian with the President’s Leadership Award, along with recognizing our Community Health Impact Award recipients. Your presence and support help make our mission possible.
