Dr. Chorbadjian is a Board-certified pediatrician who is currently specializing in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). Dr. Chorbadjian diagnoses and treats a wide variety of developmental delay, Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other behavioral difficulties, and helps families navigate through the many systems of care. Prior to medical school, Dr. Chorbadjian earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physiological Sciences, with a minor in Public Policy and Social Welfare from UCLA, and a Master of Public Health from USC, with a focus on Maternal Child Health and Nutrition. She completed her medical education at Western University of Health Sciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, and her residency training from the UC Irvine – Children’s Hospital of Orange County Pediatric Residency Program. Now in her 2nd year of fellowship at CHLA, Dr. Chorbadjian is specializing in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. She is conducting research focusing on the effects of maternal health and toxic stress on their child’s development, as well as effects of media use on child development and behavior. Her other research interests include health care disparities for children with special health care needs, osteopathic medicine and its effects in serving children with Autism, as well as the effect of poverty on children’s health, about which she has published a textbook chapter. Dr. Chorbadjian has worked with children with developmental disabilities for over 19 years in a variety of capacities. She has completed the California Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (CA-LEND) and the CA-LEND Leadership Program at the USC University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. She continues to educate residents across different pediatric programs. Dr. Chorbadjian is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association, Society for Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, and the Armenian American Medical Society. She strives to be a champion for children with developmental disabilities and their families, both locally and abroad.
