Honoring Comprehensive Community Health Centers at the AAMS Gala
We are proud to recognize Comprehensive Community Health Centers (CCHC) as one of this year’s Community Health Impact Award honorees at the AAMS 41st Anniversary Gala. CCHC’s story began through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP program) with the County of Los Angeles to provide free medical and dental care to medically indigent communities. When the original funding for the program ended in the late 1990s, leadership faced a difficult decision: stop services or continue caring for the most vulnerable patients without financial support. Their choice was clear. They continued to serve the community, demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to those who needed care the most.
That dedication helped CCHC grow into one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers in Los Angeles County. Today, CCHC operates six health centers and two mobile clinics, serving more than 50,000 patients each year with comprehensive services including primary care, dental care, behavioral health, specialty care, and patient support programs. For more than two decades, CCHC has remained steadfast in its mission to ensure that every individual, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, has access to compassionate and high quality healthcare.
