Elizabeth Zoryan, RN, BSN, PHN is a respected healthcare professional, nonprofit leader, and dedicated community advocate whose work spans medicine, education, and cultural service. Born in Lebanon and raised in Los Angeles from infancy, Liz earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles in 2002.
Liz currently serves as President of the Armenian American Medical Society (AAMS), one of the largest Armenian healthcare organizations in the diaspora. In this role, she leads strategic initiatives focused on community health outreach, physician and nursing collaboration, scholarship programs, and humanitarian medical missions. Her leadership reflects a longstanding commitment to advancing healthcare access, mentoring medical professionals, and strengthening community partnerships.
She is also the former President of the Armenian American Nurses Association, where she championed professional development, community health education, and expanded engagement among Armenian-American nursing professionals.
Beyond healthcare leadership, Liz remains deeply involved in faith-based, educational, and cultural organizations. She is active with St. Peter Church and St. Leon Cathedral, and supports institutions including the AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School and the Armenian Educational Foundation. She has also supported broader Armenian initiatives such as the Armenian American Museum and the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST), helping advance education, innovation, and cultural preservation both locally and internationally.
Guided by a deep passion for service, Liz is known for her collaborative leadership style, organizational vision, and dedication to empowering others. She and her husband, Kev Zoryan, are proud parents of three children — Jacqueline, Andrew, and Michael — and remain committed to serving their community with integrity and purpose.
